I was really happy to be able to return to jordan after a long time aboard and participate in the 7th annual gaming summit.
I was blown away by the number of attendees that exceeded 700 people; mostly young game developers that have been attending game development courses and volunteer at one of the several gaming lab scattered across the kingdom.
There were many speakers along with myself at the event, many came from overseas representing different sectors and companies. One of the most notable for me was a local representing the Jordanian Olympic committee, who spoke at length of the preparation for a Jordanian Olympic e-sports team, and their readiness to participate in the 2024 olympics.
So much to be proud of, with this kind of forward thinking and integration; I feel very rest assured that the local scene is going to rapidly develop and that the future is bright for the region.
